AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
- To promote unity, love and understanding among her members, initiate and execute viable projects that will be beneficial to Otukpa community.
- To promote Otukpa cultural identity through lectures, seminars, cultural programmes and working closely with the Och’Otukpa and his Traditional council to achieve these goals.
- To sensitize leaders in our domain of their responsibilities to the people as well as act as the voice of our people in matters affecting them.
- To promote poverty alleviation in all its ramification by guaranteeing self-loans through community banking and cooperative societies.
- To encourage physical, moral and mental development of Otukpa people by forming sports clubs, organizing entertainment programs on transmitted diseases, cultism and other social vices.
- To undertake other activities which in the opinion of the Forum are ancillary, incidental or conducive to the promotion of the aforementioned aims and objectives.
OTUKPA FORUM ABUJA @ 25: CELEBRATING 25 YEARS OF UNITY, SERVICE AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
As Otukpa Forum Abuja prepares to celebrate its remarkable 25th Anniversary, it is important to look beyond the celebration and reflect on the journey, sacrifices and achievements that have sustained the organisation for a quarter of a century.
For 25 years, Otukpa Forum Abuja has remained a strong platform for bringing sons and daughters of Otukpa together, promoting unity, friendship, cultural identity, mutual support and community development.
One of its greatest achievements is the ability to provide a common meeting point where Otukpa people in Abuja can discuss issues affecting their community, share ideas and work collectively for the progress of our people.
It also contributed to the preservation and promotion of Otukpa culture and identity, ensuring that our heritage, values and traditions remain relevant even as our people live and work outside the homeland.
Its commitment to education and youth development also reflects the understanding that the future of Otukpa depends on investing in the next generation. Through community-oriented initiatives and support for educational development, the Forum continues to encourage young people to pursue knowledge and become responsible leaders.
The Forum has equally demonstrated that community development is not only about government. It is about citizens coming together, identifying challenges and contributing their own quota toward solutions.
Twenty-five years is not merely a number; it is a testimony to commitment, resilience, unity and continuity.
As we celebrate this milestone, we honour the founders, past leaders, executives, elders, members and all sons and daughters of Otukpa who have contributed to the growth of Otukpa Forum Abuja over the years.
