About us

A Brief History Of Otukpa Forum Abuja

Otukpa forum was formed in Abuja in the year 2001. The idea of the association was hatched by three Otukpa sons where they met in Mr Ogwuche Matthias’s house in Maraba. They were Hassan Igoh, Ted Lawani and Ogwuche Matthias. Mr Igoh had during that visit in Mr. Ogwuche’s house emphasized the need for Otukpa elites residing in Abuja to form an association that would promote unity among members and to take advantages of being in the Federal capital to influence and draw developmental projects and programmes to the community. Mr Igoh  did not stop here but put his words into action by visiting prominent sons and daughters in their offices and homes to sell the idea of the association to them.
